What is Darmmess EVOO?
Usually Olive oil is stored for a few weeks after harvest and milling, to let the sediment fall to the bottom and allow the flavors to mellow. Darmmess is picked, pressed and bottled straight away to preserve the bold fresh flavors. It is actually the Star Olive Oil of Deir Mimas.
Darmmess is different from other extra virgin olive oils because of the way it’s made: It is the very freshest olive oil you can find in Lebanon.
This oil offers a unique taste experience and a fiesta of aromas and flavors: At first, a mix of green tomato, herbs, apple and banana, followed by a poke of black pepper, walnut and almond.
Thus it is highly recommended with :
- Vegetables: Raw or roasted, any kind of salad, and of course the stars of the Lebanese table: tabboule and fattouche
- Meditteranean Mezze: Such as Shanklish, Humus, Moutabal, Foul....etc
- Meats, poultry and fish marinades: Darmmess Extra Virgin Olive Oil, salt and pepper are enough to savor the simplicity.
- Finishing oil: The final touch on any dish you like; soups, pasta, and Lebanese traditional recipes
