A Sensory Experience

Loaded with unique aromas and flavors, Darmmess is a fresh, peppery and grassy EVOO coming exclusively from Deir Mimas village, Lebanon, commonly referred to as the "Bordeaux of Lebanese olive oils". Do not hesitate to discover its complex yet harmonious taste, reminiscent of unripe "Souri" green olives with bitter spicy notes and a green fruitiness. Enjoy it raw as a finishing drizzling oil. Available in limited quantities.

High on Elenolides & Phenols

Analyzed at Athens University in Greece, our 2022 evoo shows a very high concentration of a new constituent called Elenolides (E) (between 910 and 1213 mg/kg across our 6 lots), acting as an antihypertensive agent in the human body.  Elenolides are technically a marker of high quality EVOO's, as can be only found in those  coming from unripe olives with high phenolic load processed with minimal water during malaxation. Moreover 65% of our 2022 harvest rank in the bronze category of High Phenolic Extra virgin Olive Oils. Thus, Darmmess as per the EU regulation (EU432/12), can be treated as a natural food supplement with two tablespoons daily to prevent and reverse serious chronic diseases. We can proudly say it is an elixir of life.

Since early 2021, Darmmess embraced willingly the social enterprise business model. Our priorities became centered around supporting and empowering our local community. We make up for the marketing and distribution gaps in the value chain of our farmers, while providing them with a professional technical assistance around best organic agricultural practice. All united, we thrive towards building a global territorial branding of Deir Mimas village and advance towards our goals of reducing waste and carbon emissions

Transparent and traceable, Darmmess comes exclusively from Deir Mimas, commonly referred to as the “Bordeaux of Lebanese Olive Oils”. Home to 130,000 ancient olive trees harking back to Biblical times, this authentic small village is known for its white soil naturally rich in clay, the temperate climate and the ideal altitude. Deir Mimas makes a uniquely favorable environment for olive groves.

Herbaceous background of chicory, fresh walnut, tomato, black pepper and red chili pepper.
